Spot a porpoise in Denmark

Between Trelde Næs and Hejlsminde, marine and fjord waters meet coastline and land, forming Naturpark Lillebælt: a park built through collaboration between the municipalities of Fredericia, Kolding, and Middelfart.

Stretching across fjords, coastline and open water, Naturpark Lillebælt is Denmark’s largest marine nature park. Its waters are home to one of the world’s densest populations of harbour porpoises, alongside white-tailed eagles, migratory birds and a rich underwater ecosystem. Visitors can experience it by kayak, on foot, on a whale safari, or simply by slowing down and observing the life that surrounds them.
